Mu ha ha ha! <-- evil laugh
It's pretty rare that Rohan has a sleep in. Normally it's when you need him to get up at his normal 6am that he decides that 7.30 would be good.
This morning was one of those days, I was off to do a photo shoot and Tricia was going to work so Ro was off to day care. While I feel a bit bad at waking him up early, part of me can't help but enjoy the small bit of revenge for all the 5am wake ups Ro has given us :-)
What a show pony!! :) Ro can spend 20-30 minutes just climbing around in the curtains. His 'ta daaaa!' act shown here is his favourite, I think he likes the applause. So somewhere in between being an All Black, astronaut, brilliant scientist, millionaire and Nobel Prize winner he is now also going to do some acting... wow, you've got a busy life ahead of you son...
I think we need to get Ro a dog in the not too distant future. He just loves trying to get toys off you when you hold them in your mouth! I can see him and 'rover' spending hours playing tug'o'war around the house :)
As performed by Rohan, for no particular reason other than he likes waving his arms.
The odd thing is that Ro loves playing with balloons when they are inflates, but if he sees you trying to blow one up he has a fit and runs away crying?? He can just about bring himself to play with the un-inflated balloons but even that's a struggle? Oh well, let's face it, with Tricia and I as parents he was never going to be normal :)
Remember when you'd raise your eyes and sigh whenever your parents went on about how quick you grew up, how it only seemed like yesterday you were knee high to a sparrow and crawling around. Normally this conversation is played out in front of your girlfriend, wife, rugby mates etc...
Well, now I'm a parent I can finally see what my folks were talking about. Rohan is one year old already, and as you can see picking up new ideas every day. Here he is taking a call from his stock broker :)
Your mom and I couldn't be more proud of you Ro...
Just a quick update on the wee fella. As you can see Rohan is now walking around all over the place. Walking has replaced crawling whenever there is something to climb up, he's still not quite managing to stand up from a sitting position without help yet. I'm sure it won't be long though :) He has also found he can read door handles and window catches now... time to get some more locks I think!
On the Olivers farm in 'King Country' on the North Island. We were up a big hill on the station about to get photos of 1,500 sheep being driven from one pasture to another. Shortly after this clip we lost the exhaust off the truck :)
